| The benefits of whey was the focus of the
world's top dairy researchers and processors as they came together with the
country's leading nutrition professionals, whey and whey product users, food
and beverage marketers, manufacturers and suppliers to attend the 6th
International Whey Conference.
Over 425 attendees from 25 countries attended this event that provided
unparalleled opportunities to learn about The Power of Whey . . .
one of nature's most valuable biological resources for human nutrition and
perhaps the most multi-functional protein available.
Internationally reowned experts ranging from top dairy researchers and
processors to leading health and nutritional specialists presented cutting edge
nutritional and functional benefits of whey proteins, at the conference held
September 18 -21, 2011, in Chicago, Illinois.
For the first time Demonstration Stations were utilized to allow end users
and other IWC attendees to experience "the Power of Whey"
through live demonstrations of the applications and functional properties of
whey, whey components and whey by-products. The Demonstration Stations took IWC
2011 participants "whey" beyond the basic research and PowerPoint
slides. Located in the Exhibit Hall each afternoon, the Demonstration Stations
featured live interactive demonstrations that allowed "up close and
personal" examples of what whey and whey products can actually do.
IWC 2011 was co-hosted by the American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI) and
the European Whey Products Association (EWPA) in partnership with gold sponsor
support from Davisco Foods International, Inc., Glanbia Nutritionals and the
U.S. Dairy Export Council.
